Eligibility

• The event needs to be organised by at least two partners from the Greater Copenhagen region, of which one is employed at a Novo Nordisk Foundation Research Center.

• Events must be of high quality and focused on topics of major scientific importance or urgency for the region.

• The event must be a new initiative. It is not possible to sponsor already existing events.

• The cluster office at NNF will co-organise the events and control all expenses.

Type of events

All type of events can be considered, from a 1 hour workshop to an international conference. For inspiration take a look at former cross-cluster collaboration events such as the Single Cell Symposium or the Metabolomics Conference and workshops in October 2018.

Funding

The funds for the approved events will be managed by the Copenhagen Bioscience Cluster office. It will cover speaker fees and speaker travel, event venue and catering. All expenses will have to be described and approved in the final application.

Application process

This is a two-step application process. The first step is a simple online form that can be filled out by one of the applicants. Once the event has been selected, the initial application will be finalised with a budget, as well as organisational details, in collaboration with the Copenhagen Bioscience Cluster office. This final application has to be approved by the Novo Nordisk Foundation and will be the basis for the final event.
