Copenhagen Bioscience Snapshot - KJ Patel and Anja Groth

On November 6th we will welcome two guest speakers, Professor Anja Groth (BRIC/CPR, Copenhagen, Denmark) and Professor KJ Patel (MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology, Cambridge, UK). Anja Groth is a group leader at BRIC studying how genetic and epigenetic information is retained during cell division. Her research focuses on the control of histone dynamics during replication and on chromatin replication in human cells. KJ Patel is a group leader at the MRC laboratory of molecular biology in Cambridge investigating chromosome breakage and repair in stem cells. He aims to define the origins and identity of genotoxic metabolites, how cells remove them, the nature of the DNA damage they cause and how this damage is repaired.
