Collaboration Events

Design your event with support of the Novo Nordisk Foundation Science Cluster

Eligibility

Events need to be initiated by at least one Novo Nordisk Foundation Center plus a partner in the Greater Copenhagen area, and co-organised with the Science Cluster office.

• The event needs to be organised by at least two partners, one of which is employed at a Novo Nordisk Foundation Research Center.
• Events must be of high quality and focused on topics of major scientific importance or urgency for the region.
• The event must be a new initiative. It is not possible to sponsor already existing events.
• The Science Cluster office at the Novo Nordisk Foundation will co-organise the events and control all expenses.

Funding

All type of events can be considered for funding, from a 1 hour workshop to an international conference. For inspiration take a look at former cross-cluster collaboration events such as the Natural Products (Meta) Genome Mining symposium in 2022 or the Creativity in Biomedical Research symposium in 2021.

The funds for the approved events will be managed by the Novo Nordisk Foundation Science Cluster office. It will cover speaker fees and speaker travel, event venue and catering. All expenses will have to be described and approved in the final application.

Application process

The grant is offered through a two-step application process. The first step is a simple online form that can be filled out by one of the applicants. Once the event has been selected, the initial application will be finalised with a budget, as well as organisational details, in collaboration with the Novo Nordisk Foundation Science Cluster office. This final application has to be approved by the Novo Nordisk Foundation and will be the basis for the final event.
