About the Cross Cluster Collaboration events

The purpose of the Cross-Cluster Collaboration Events grants is to support interaction, synergy and knowledge sharing between our stakeholders, and to incite to cross-disciplinarily, collaboration and innovation.

The events are scientific collaborative events funded by the Novo Nordisk Foundation to strengthen research and innovation across the Science Cluster. The funding can be applied for by researchers from the Novo Nordisk Foundation Research Centers in collaboration with other research entities at universities, hospitals or industry.

Funding

All type of events can be considered for funding, from a 1-day workshop to an international 3-day conference. For inspiration take a look at former cross-cluster collaboration events such as the Natural Products (Meta) Genome Mining symposium in 2022 or the Creativity in Biomedical Research symposium in 2021.

The funds for the approved events will be managed by the Novo Nordisk Foundation Science Cluster office. It will cover speaker fees and speaker travel, event venue and catering. All expenses will have to be described and approved in the final application.

Application process

The grant is offered through a two-step application process. The first step is a simple online form that can be filled out by one of the applicants. Once the event has been selected, the initial application will be finalised with a budget, as well as organisational details, in collaboration with the Novo Nordisk Foundation Science Cluster office. This final application has to be approved by the Novo Nordisk Foundation and will be the basis for the final event.

The applied event should take place between June 2023 – June 2024.
